Established in the spring of 2010 by Tulsa Symphony Orchestra musicians Jeff Cowen and Jill Wiebe, Appassionata has quickly become one of Tulsa's most sought-after ensembles. Appassionata's debut performance at the Performing Arts Center resulted in the first ever "screaming standing ovation" for the Brown Bag It concert series. This provocative duo has caught the attention of classical and pop music fans alike with a repertoire that covers everything from Clair de Lune to Guns N' Roses. Appassionata's
concerts keep audiences on their toes - moving quickly between poignant Romantic treasures, intricate classical works, sultry Latin dances often to a few
surprises from their rock collection. The duo's debut concert and CD release concert drew a standing-room-only crowd. Their latest venture, the Candlelight Concert Series, has been a runaway success, selling out of season tickets before the series began!
